Blog Post Week 7
Wow, time flies. We are already on Week 7. This week for WAESO we are wapping up the the presentation for the AZNV Academy Presentation. The only steps left is to practice presenting our research to our audience. One of the DNA sequancing came back with results. In th Biofilm Sample found in South Gym Family Shower, there was a ninty-nine percent match with Pseudomonas Aeroginosa. That means that there Pseudomonas in the South Gym Family Shower. As cool as that sounds, it is also a bit worrisome. The Family Shower is used by women, man, and children. Having an opportunistc bacteria near any students or facuties that are immunocompromise may cause exposure to the bacteria. I hope to the results come in so we can see if there were more sites that had Pseudomonas presented. In the meantime, I have to identify the bacteria growing on my plates. I had done the bacteria growing on TSA plate already. It was a dark purple pigment with rod-like shapes.
