This week was definitely the college student's nightmare. So many tests and papers to worry about these days. The approaching holidays should be a blessing but it is really a curse because those holidays remind me that I am running out of time. Surprisingly, I managed to redo my samples from scratch this week. It was not easy because I had many problems with my Corynebacterium Lysis sample. I had to do that one exactly three times. That great part about redoing experiments is that it builds confidence. I was confuse at first because I did not know what I was doing but by the second time around, I was breezing through it. Now how do I breeze through a research paper?
Corynebacterium might be tough as it has some mycolic acid (wax) in it's cell wall! It's like a wax coating that some people put on their car for protection. How are your extractions coming along?
